Stroop Effect <\/strong> \t\t\t\t\t <\/p>\n

I wouldn\u2019t know anything about it
\nExcept what I\u2019ve seen in movies,
\nOn the internet. Everyone is on
\nThe internet somewhere, but who\u2019s
\nWatching? I am, in the witching
\nHours, working hard to appear hap
\nHazard. Here I demonstrate the re
\nAction time involved in telepathy,
\nA pressure wave planting an image
\nIn your mind, the way I learned
\nBy watching movies, the way we
\nLearn everything these days. Tell
\nMe nice shirt & watch me back into
\nThe compliment the way one sits
\nOn the john. We tip toe round all
\nThis shit with feather-light steps
\nSaving the best magic tricks for our
\nSelves, watching ourselves in reverse.

Be sure to eat your fruits & vegetables.
\nYou need all the carbohydrates
\nYou can get. You have miles to go.
\nTomorrow you will be too tired
\nTo recognize your own frozen hands. <\/p>\n

All of your instruments are failing.
\nClimb back down from cruising
\nAltitude, New American. Brake.
\nFind a vessel ripe to circumnavigate
\nThe globe, find your reflection
\nIn ancient ice. If you cannot find
\nThe ice, how will you find your face?
\nWhen you see yourself again
\nRemember to savor the scraps,
\nThe eight hours sleep, the clean shirt.

I Hope the Exit is Joyful<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Sing away the ghosts. The ones you keep
\nInside close your throat before a name
\nEscapes. Sing until the last, sing with half
\nA breath, until the people left over can\u2019t
\nHelp singing along with your choked voice. <\/p>\n

The two and the four thump away on deaf
\nEars. This fight a fight that can\u2019t be won
\nWith force. We have gone as far as imagin-
\nAtion allows. Some of us shelter too much,
\nHide & obsess over germs, stranger danger.
\nOthers step too close to the canyon\u2019s edge,
\nForgetting to account for wind velocity &
\nConcede mercy to nature. The exit clearly
\nMarked, New American\u2014our deaf ears no
\nExcuse. All doors empty into a single room.

To Want to Start Backward<\/strong><\/p>\n

there is something oceanic inside you vast
\nawe manifest a weather vane flicker behind
\nyour eyes wings beating over an infinity of
\nwater curving outwards the return of sound
\nwaves mapping what your eyes cannot see
\nyet impatience does not mind the flight has
\nnothing to do but wait you arrive later than
\nyou think you berate the nothing like a star-
\nving dog & slap & slap an echo of each slap
\npulses through air mapping the oceans inside
