Hamartia<\/strong>
\n 
\nPulled from the throat
\nof a dying horse,
\nthe cloth to soak
\nbreath of stuck
\nwheel, landed in the mud.
\nHow decades slip by one
\nrevolution after another.
\nTell me, dear sirs,
\nwhose screams
\nare heard anymore at the beating
\nof the drums? Give each little
\none a stick. Tell them to draw
\nin the dirt their number
\nof dead.
\nCome with me, you who red
\nin the face at the crisp white
\nof your hands.
\nI don\u2019t know what\u2019s
\nat stake here.
\nBut the people are singing.
\nThe tune is low and sad.
\n

\nTeratoid <\/strong>
\n 
\nIn the woods, you curled
\nyour hand fistwise,
\nknuckled my shoulder.
\n 
\nIn acts of war
\nwe are hoping
\nto come out
\nonly minorly
\nstitched.
\n 
\nHow sexy is this going to get?
\n 
\nis a question
\nI often ask of my t-shirts.
\nThey know.
\n 
\nI\u2019ve stolen all of your
\nright & woolen socks.
\n 
\nPick up your glue gun.
\n 
\nThere aren\u2019t many buzzards
\nbut they know we\u2019re here.
\n
