Night Sky<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is where the fun starts.
\nI\u2019m going to start grabbing this and lifting it upward.<\/p>\n

Grab it and pop it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jonny Horton wrote a beautiful song about the northern lights.<\/p>\n

Northern Lights were running wild in the land of the midnight sun.<\/p>\n

And I lived there for about a dozen years.<\/p>\n

And that has to be. That has to be one of the prettiest countries in the world.<\/p>\n

God was having a good day when he made Alaska.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You can pull these as high as you want them.<\/p>\n

In some parts of the country they don\u2019t see a lot of color in the northern lights.<\/p>\n

Where I lived, right outside of Fairbanks in a little town called North Pole,<\/p>\n

Sometimes we would see the lights in every color of the rainbow.<\/p>\n

That makes it a little more interesting.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Just to break up that straight line.<\/p>\n

You know me and my big trees.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s do it again.<\/p>\n

Maybe there\u2019s a big tree<\/p>\n

There we go<\/p>\n

He lives right there<\/p>\n

And he\u2019s got a crook in him<\/p>\n

And he\u2019s got another crook in him.<\/p>\n

He needs a friend.<\/p>\n

[whistles]<\/p>\n

just pop in a few highlights<\/p>\n

wherever wherever wherever wherever<\/p>\n

put as many or as few limbs as you want in your world<\/p>\n

you\u2019ll find this to be one of the most fun things that you\u2019ve ever done<\/p>\n

Maybe there\u2019s a little path<\/p>\n

And you can just go crazy<\/p>\n

In your world you put whatever<\/p>\n

You think would be there<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

K. and. bring a little bit of the grassy things.<\/p>\n

Right down so it brings all this together.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On this side of the path we need<\/p>\n

A little more of these grassy areas<\/p>\n

To bring all of this<\/p>\n

Together,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You can create all of this beautiful land mass<\/p>\n

Then maybe<\/p>\n

Watch right here<\/p>\n

Maybe<\/p>\n

We put a fence.<\/p>\n

Then we put some wire on that fence<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You can do anything<\/p>\n

You can do absolutely anything<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Maybe there lives<\/p>\n

Sure does.<\/p>\n

A big ole tree<\/p>\n

And a little tree.<\/p>\n

Just like that.<\/p>\n

Just like that.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s put some highlight on that tree.<\/p>\n

There he is.<\/p>\n

This looks like a little birch tree that grew up in front of the barn.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s just put an indication of a happy little tree limb here and there<\/p>\n

Just here and there. Wherever you want em.<\/p>\n

The clock on the wall tells me its time to leave you for today.<\/p>\n

A Walk in the Woods<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Maybe like we\u2019re walking in through the woods,<\/p>\n

Just like so, just whip that around,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You\u2019re going to become a mud mixer.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s begin building some little bushes and stuff.<\/p>\n

All right. Look at that. You can do it. I know you can.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s move up to this big tree in the front here.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s put some nice little leaves up here on the elm.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There\u2019s a nice little bush that lives right here<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve ever walked through the wood early in the morning<\/p>\n

All the little creatures are out here, they\u2019re all playing in the bushes and stuff<\/p>\n

This is where they live, in these little bushes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Just let your imagination run wild. Let your heart be your guide<\/p>\n

In the time that you sit around worrying about it and trying to plan a painting.<\/p>\n

You could have completed a painting already. Let it happen.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For so many years I was a traditional painter and I would spend sometimes<\/p>\n

Weeks, on a picture. Here we let it happen. It comes right out of here.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s in you and you put it on the canvas.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If we\u2019re going to walk through the woods we need a little path.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s build us a happy little path. We\u2019re going to let this path wander right down here.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Maybe there\u2019s some nice little areas coming right through here.<\/p>\n

Maybe maybe maybe as we\u2019re walking through the woods<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Maybe it rained last night. Maybe there came a nice little rain.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s little puddles. Now after it rains you always have little rain puddles.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In your world you can do anything that your heart desires.<\/p>\n

My home is in Fairbanks, Alaska, and I\u2019ve spent lots of time walking around<\/p>\n

the woods talking to trees, squirrels, and little rabbits and stuff.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And I look at a lot of nature, and if painting teaches you nothing else,<\/p>\n

It will teach you to look at nature, with different eyes, it will teach you to<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

See things that have been there all your life but you\u2019ve never noticed<\/p>\n

If it does nothing else but make you enjoy nature, it\u2019s worthwhile<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Look around, look at what we have, beauty is everywhere, you<\/p>\n

Only have to look to see it. I talk too much sometimes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Maybe the water\u2019s coming right along here<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just having a good time and<\/p>\n

Oh my gosh. Bloop. Somebody has pulled the cork out.<\/p>\n

And there it goes.<\/p>\n

Just let it fall<\/p>\n

And it splashed down through here<\/p>\n

And it just wanders around<\/p>\n

Wherever you want it to go<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Push upward to make those little foamy things<\/p>\n

Just let it wander right on down.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Think about individual bushes<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t just throw this in at random<\/p>\n

We need something for this to stand<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll make a little rock.<\/p>\n

Maybe it comes right over in here.<\/p>\n

Wherever you want it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s put a happy little bush here and there<\/p>\n

Maybe some grow right down in here<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s go on the other side<\/p>\n

Over here. There lives a nice bush.<\/p>\n

Think about individual though, I can\u2019t say that enough.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We need something for this to stand on, too.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll put a happy little stone that lives here.<\/p>\n

Just pull down. Just pull it across.
\nAngles are very important when you\u2019re doing this<\/p>\n

Angles, angles, always look at the angles.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s get crazy today. Maybe there\u2019s a little blue bush.<\/p>\n
